The 1990 Hymnal had an anti-irresistible grace edit. The song "Without Him" was originally written with the line "You Can't Turn Him Away."
Well, the 1990 Hymnal changed that to "Do Not Turn Him Away" and put the original line in a footnote. Whenever we sing that song at my parents' church, I always sing as loud as I can "You Can't Turn Him Away" (while everyone else is singing "Do Not Turn Him Away."
NOTE: I suppose it is a separate issue whether an Elvis Presley song belongs in a hymnal.
