  1. Though Steven Anderson is a KJV Onlyst and, in this video, perhaps overly passionate in descriptive terms at times, Pastor Anderson otherwise makes some good observations in this short video. I think I even heard him quote the Confession :) Worth the watch! Thanks for posting Dr. Riddle.

  2. I appreciated your contribution to the debate. It was informative and reasonable. You mentioned in the debate the influence of the Enlightenment on textual criticism in passing in the debate. I am writing a research paper on this very topic at PRTS. Do you have any sources you would recommend on that subject? John

  3. Unknown,

Sorry for the delay. This a big question. A few ideas:

First, read the primary sources from the era, like:

Charles Talbert's translation of Reimarus's Fragments.

    Spinoza's Theological-Political Treatise

    Hume's essay On Miracles.

    Others (Rousseau, Voltaire, Locke, etc.)

For secondary sources, see various surveys on the history of philosophy.

For one scholarly treatments, see Peter Gay, The Enlightenment: An Interpretation.

For a popular account of the impact in the 19th century, see A. N. Wilson, God's Funeral.

For a more "positive" spin on the Enlightenment's impact on the Bible, see Jonathan Sheehan, The Enlightenment Bible.

    Hope this helps.
