Stylos is the blog of Jeff Riddle, a Reformed Baptist Pastor in North Garden, Virginia. The title "Stylos" is the Greek word for pillar. In 1 Timothy 3:15 Paul urges his readers to consider "how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar (stylos) and ground of the truth."

WM 260: Barger and Mullins on Why I Preach from the Received Text
Brother Riddle, I have once again, as usual, enjoyed your authors' interview.
At about 59:30 Doug Barger made a comment that really caught my attention. He talked about John Gill being able to step into the gap because being a non-conformist, he was excluded from the higher education and rather studied the earlier Puritans and Reformers instead. He said Richard Muller made this observation. Do you know which of Muller's works this is in?

Thanks. Have a blessed day.
